If you have kids who like to learn and try new things, one of the best places to take them is the St. George Children’s Museum. The St. George Children’s Museum is housed inside of the city’s Community Arts Building, and it first opened in November 2013. Since then it’s become a popular favorite with local children and visiting families. Part of what makes the St. George Children’s Museum such a treat is that it’s bright, engaging, and all guests are encouraged to discover and truly explore the world them. No matter what your kids are into, they’re sure to find a room or exhibit within the museum that piques their interest.

The Art Room is where children make crafts and drawings and can let their imaginations run wild in the incredible Castle Room. The Desert Discovery and Farm Rooms provide unique looks at two different types of landscapes, and kids will have a blast pretending to run errands in the kid-sized, realistic Grocery Store Room. In all, there are 16 themed areas that are immersive and highly entertaining.

In addition to the museum’s exhibits, events take place throughout the week including story time, group arts and crafts activities, and short classes and demonstrations. The St. George Children’s Museum is completely funded by donations, and guests are asked to contribute a small donation of $3 per person. You can park for free in the west lot or at the nearby Mainstreet Plaza parking garage.

When you consider the high costs associated with other attractions, visiting this museum is quite a bargain. You could easily spend a few hours here with your kids, and it’s an ideal stop for families on a budget. If you live in the area or plan to visit soon, don’t miss the chance to experience all that the St. George Children’s Museum has to offer.
