Restaurant Review: Honolulu Grill

One thing that surprises many visitors to St. George is the wide variety of restaurants t.hat can be found: Mexican, French, Asian, down-south specialties — you name it, and you can probably find it. If you enjoy Polynesian food or just want to try something new, Honolulu Grill is the place for you. This restaurant is known for offering mouthwatering authentic Hawaiian dishes that are made to perfection.

The interior of this restaurant is vibrant and casual and the staff is very welcoming and friendly: a good pick if you’re dining with kids or family. The menu includes plate lunches and combos that are filled with tasty, filling dishes such as Kalua pork, katsu chicken, teriyaki beef, and slowly barbecued meats. The Laulau Combo with chicken curry is excellently prepared and every bit as good as what you’d get if you actually took a trip to Hawaii. The eatery even serves musubi, a Hawaiian specialty comprised of sliced and grilled Spam, rice, and sauce wrapped in nori – this place is the real deal!

You’ll also find a selection of big burgers and sandwiches such as the Honolulu Burger. Instead of the traditional patty, it has lots of barbecued beef, fresh veggies, and melted cheese piled high on a soft bun. If you’d like something a bit lighter, try one of the restaurant’s salads; the Garlic Chicken Salad has loads of flavor but is still waistline friendly.

If you have room for dessert, you’ll find some delectable choices: coconut cake, refreshing shaved ice, and guava cake are just a few. The menu changes with the season, and you can always count on fresh ingredients. For how large the portions are, the prices at Honolulu Grill are very affordable. Be on the lookout for the restaurant’s specials if you’re aiming to eat well and save a bit of money.

For awesome food served with a big dose of flavor and hospitality, try Honolulu Grill the next time you’re in St. George.
