Gift Idea – Annual Pass to Zion National Park

For many people, one of the best parts of the holiday season is shopping for the perfect items to give to their loved ones. While there’s a seemingly endless number of things you can buy, some of the most memorable presents are experiences rather than objects. If someone on your gift list lives in St. George or frequently visits the area, there are plenty of experiences you can gift — the city has a wealth of outdoor activities, interesting sights and attractions, and a vibrant arts and culture scene. For outdoor adventurers, nature lovers, and families who like to explore, consider gifting an Annual Pass to Zion National Park.

Zion National Park is known around the world for its towering formations and truly incredible features, plus it’s a haven for people who enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, camping, bird watching, and horseback riding. All that your gift recipients will have to do is make time to head out to the park with their pass in hand, and they’ll be ready to make amazing memories. If you’re looking for a Christmas present that will be put to good use, a park pass will fit the bill.

There are several types of annual passes available for the park, but the two most commonly gifted ones are the Zion Annual Pass and the Interagency Annual Pass. Each is valid for 12 months after the purchase date, and both are reasonably priced. The Zion Annual Pass costs $50 and admits any one non-commercial vehicle and up to 14 passengers at a time into Zion National Park.

The Interagency Annual Pass costs $80 and admits one non-commercial vehicle in “per vehicle” fee areas, as well as the pass holder and an additional three guests age 16 or older in “per person” fee areas. This particular pass can be used at Zion National Park or any other Federal recreation site in the country. As Utah has several National Parks, the Interagency Annual Pass is ideal for those who like to travel in their leisure.

No entry fees are charged for children 15 and younger for either pass, so this would make an excellent group gift for families. One thing that makes annual passes such an impressive present is they’re unexpected, but come packed with value and are affordable. Whether you have families on your gift list, singles who are active and love to explore, or couples who appreciate unique getaways, you truly can’t go wrong. To make the special people in your life filled with joy this Christmas, consider giving them an Annual Pass to Zion National Park.
